Paint by Numbers classes rescheduled; registration begins October

The City of Las Cruces' Parks and Recreation Department has announced the schedule for its Paint by Numbers classes, which will run monthly through December 2024. These sessions are set to take place at the East Mesa Recreation Center located at 5589 Porter Dr., from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Initially scheduled for October 23, the first class will now commence on October 30. Subsequent classes are planned for November 20 and December 18. Each session will provide participants with a pre-numbered canvas featuring a themed painting specific to that month. The cost is $20 per person, per class, covering all necessary supplies.

Registration opens on October 16, 2024, and can be completed online or in person during regular business hours at several locations:

- Parks and Recreation Administrative Building at 1501 E. Hadley Ave., open from Monday to Thursday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- Meerscheidt Recreation Center at 1600 E. Hadley Ave., available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

- Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center at 1401 E. Hadley Ave., open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

- Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center at 304 W. Bell Ave., operating Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The program is designed for individuals aged thirteen and older, with limited space offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
