The Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, located at 1401 E. Hadley Ave., is set to temporarily close its activity and warm water pools starting Monday, November 4, 2024. This closure will last throughout November, with normal operations resuming on Thursday, December 5, 2024.

The purpose of the temporary closure is to resurface the shells of both pools. This project was approved as part of the Parks and Recreation budget for 2024-2025. Alongside resurfacing, additional yearly and scheduled maintenance will be conducted, including an annual inspection.

Built in 2009, the Regional Aquatic Center's pool shell typically has a lifespan of about ten years and is now overdue for resurfacing.

During this period, the Las Cruces Natatorium at 1405 E. Hadley Ave. will remain open to the public with extended hours.

For further information, individuals can contact the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center at (575) 541-2782.
