In other news, the City of Las Cruces will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Keep Las Cruces Beautiful program inside the Triviz/I-25 tunnel to showcase a newly completed mural. In observance of Veterans Day, most city offices will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024; however, emergency services such as police and fire departments will continue operations.

The city plans to update its Dog Park Rules and seeks public input through a survey. The Las Cruces Veterans Day Parade has been organized by volunteers since 1995 in support of local veterans.

Effective January 1, 2025, the minimum wage in Las Cruces will increase pursuant to the Las Cruces Municipal Code (LCMC). The Lush and Lean program continues to assist residents in utilizing limited water resources efficiently through water-wise gardening and landscaping practices.
