Residents of Las Cruces are invited to participate in the Winter Reading Lotería, hosted by the Las Cruces Public Libraries from December 4 to December 31, 2024. The event will take place on the Beanstack app and offers participants a chance to win prizes through a Bingo-style game of Lotería.

Participants can enjoy their winter break with family while engaging in activities prompted by the app. For example, when the Beanstack map lands on a card like "El Venado/The Deer," users might be asked to submit a book review. Another card, "La Araña/The Spider," could prompt them to read for a set amount of time. Completing a full row on the Bingo Lotería card allows participants to choose a prize from the library's treasure chest.

To join the challenge, individuals or families can register at lascruces.beanstack.org or through the Beanstack app by searching for Las Cruces Public Libraries.

For more information about this event, Shuly Serrano, Library Programs Manager, can be contacted at 575-528-4085 or via email at [email protected]

Additionally, those requiring alternative formats of this document can call 575/528-4102 (voice). Accommodations for disabilities are available upon request if made at least 48 hours before participation by calling the same number.
