Local artists will present their design concepts for the La Buena Vida Park Public Art project to the Quality of Life/Las Cruces Public Art Selection Committee. The presentations are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, and Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at City Hall in Conference Room 2007-A. The public is invited to attend.
The artists were given the task of creating a proposal for an outdoor art piece to enhance the park located at 3000 Buena Vida Circle. This neighborhood park includes a picnic pavilion and walking trails through a natural landscape.
Each artist will have a 30-minute slot for their presentation. The schedule is as follows:
December 10, 2024:
- 4:30 PM Artist 1
- 5:15 PM Artist 2
- 6:00 PM Artist 3
December 11, 2024:
- 4:30 PM Artist 4
- 5:15 PM Artist 5
- 6:00 PM Artist 6
The chosen design will be presented to the City Art Board during their next public meeting on December 12, and subsequently to the Las Cruces City Council for final approval.
