Overnight temperatures forecasted for Thursday evening have led Las Cruces Public Schools to announce a two-hour delay for the start of classes on Friday, January 10. The school district has stated that all classes will begin two hours later than usual, and bus schedules will be adjusted accordingly.

For White Sands School, which is located at White Sands Missile Range, any schedule changes will be communicated directly by the principal.

The National Weather Service has warned that today's wet conditions combined with overnight freezing temperatures may result in challenging driving conditions during early morning hours. Parents and staff are advised to monitor official district communication channels for further updates.

Las Cruces Public Schools maintains a presence on Facebook, Instagram, and X. All updates are also available on the district's website and through the LCPS smartphone app.
